Allison has been a teaching artist for over eight

 years!

She started teaching at the same theatre where she fell in love with acting, TRYPS Children's Theatre in Columbia, MO.

After moving to Chicago she continued teaching, even putting on a lab coat as a Mad Scientist for a while, and she currently teaches with Filament Theatre, The Stage School, and Mudlark.

At Filament she leads young people in the process of devising their own works and telling their own stories through in school residencies and summer camps.

At the Stage School she teaches multiple classes across all ages in subjects like Singing, Dancing, Acting, Improv, and Shakespeare.

Her favorite thing about teaching is helping young folks use their imagination and feel empowered by their own creativity.
